It creates an argument, though: because someone uses a sampler to lift a break is that somehow less valid than emulating an existing drum beat with an actual drummer? I say this because The Winstons hardly created that beat from scratch. If The Winstons ever got paid for that beat then they'd need to pass some of that dough to Clyde Stubblefield and Jab Starks because thats where they boosted that groove from.
